From Tuesday, people at high risk of exposure to Beijing's Xinfadi market will end quarantine in batches.

Beijing, July 8 (Xinhua) — Xinfadi, the largest wholesale market with fruit, vegetable, and meat supplies in Beijing, was suspended on June 13 for disinfection after personnel working there and the surroundings have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

An epidemiological investigation was carried out immediately after targeting the Xinfadi market as the risk location within 22 hours of the outbreak, said Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

From Tuesday, people at high risk of exposure to the Xinfadi market will end quarantine in batches. The first batch of over 5,000 people will finish quarantine in an orderly manner, according to authorities of Fengtai District.
