China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) and Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) launched the sixth edition of POWERCHINA Family Growth Project, on August 20, in Jianchuan, a county in Southwest China's Yunnan Province.
Children from families that benefited from the project in 2025 gave a performance, to show their gratitude toward society. A psychologist gave a lecture on positive parent-child-communication skills. Forty packages, containing daily necessities, were provided to 40 families. Volunteers organized several activities, each of which helped deepen parent-child relationships.
Since the project was implemented, in 2021, some 262 families, from 10 villages in Jianchuan, have benefited.
The project helps families renovate their houses, to improve children's living conditions, and provides companionship services to children. The project highlights family education empowerment and development of both parents and children.
