To lay the foundation for the high-quality development of women's domestic services, Jiangsu Women's Federation in 2025 released a three-year plan for building the women's domestic-service brand, Huisuxin.
Guided by the plan, Nanjing (capital of East China's Jiangsu Province) Women's Federation has since trained more than 4,000 professional maternity matrons. The matrons not only work in Nanjing, but also in other communities in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Wuxi (a city in Jiangsu) Women's Federation has a digital platform, which shares data with a government-run service application. A total of 282 domestic-service enterprises, and more than 8,300 workers, have registered on the platform.
To facilitate domestic services in communities, 437 community-based women's domestic-service sites have been established in Jiangsu. In Nanjing, such sites help women receive training and find jobs, and the sites help families receive access to domestic services. In Changzhou, another city in Jiangsu, online rehabilitation and house-management-guidance services are provided in community-based sites.
To improve domestic-service workers' professional qualifications, women's federations, at all levels in Jiangsu, have organized systematic skills training and competitions. Several workers have been recognized as national role models.
