To help women and their families study, abide by and apply laws, women's federations, at all levels, in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, have conducted various activities in parks, on farms, in factories and in residential communities in 2026.
"We organized the Carnation women's rights-protection-service team, and the team has held 34 events, focusing on various themes, including protection of women's rights and interests, combating domestic violence, harmonious family relationships, and ethnic unity," Chen Mei, head of the Legal Department of Ningxia Women's Federation, says.
City- and county-level women's federations have organized more than 300 law-popularization events, and they have distributed more than 28,000 copies of promotional materials. Some 45,000 people, combined, have attended the events.
"We have produced, and published online, 28 video and 144 audio law-popularization programs. The programs focus on properties, labor protection and marriage and family related rights and interests," Chen adds.
The city- and county-level 12338 rights-protection-service centers in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia, have provided integrated mediation and consultation services. Women lawyers work regularly in the centers, and mediators and psychological counselors often complete follow-up visits with those who have received services.
