Baoding Women's Federation (in North China's Hebei Province) held a public-welfare, domestic-service-skills training class, for 100 women, from April 1-11. Trainees learned professional and digital domestic-service skills during the 11-day, closed-door program.
Curriculum included domestic-service policy interpretation, digital empowerment in the industry, professional ethics, and practical-skills teaching, including maternal and infant care and meal preparation. It also incorporated content on legal protection, service etiquette, emergency response and health knowledge to comprehensively enhance trainees' skills and overall competence.
After the training, 21 of the 100 participants signed labor agreements with a domestic-service company in Beijing, 16 began pre-service training, and 30 stayed to participate in further studies. The remaining participants signed service agreements with a domestic-service company in Baoding.
An employee from Baoding Women's Federation noted the training helped the 100 women master skills and achieve career development, and created a replicable public-welfare-training model. The model will attract more women to participate in domestic-service-skills training, engage in the industry and increase their incomes.
