An initiative to deliver healthcare services to women in new types of economic and social organizations, and among groups in new forms of employment (three new sectors), was held, in Beijing, ahead of International Women's Day (March 8).
The initiative was launched by China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF), Meinian Healthcare Group and Meinian Healthcare Foundation.
Under the initiative, free health check-ups will be provided to 1,500 women in the three new sectors annually for the next two years. Additionally, in response to the fast-paced, high-pressure nature of the women's work, medical experts will be organized to conduct health lectures, through a combination of online and offline methods, to popularize scientific knowledge on disease prevention.
The initiative will help women improve their health awareness, better understand their respective physical condition, and provide them with tailored and precise health-management services.
Health check-up services will be provided to women in the three new sectors in various regions, including Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Haikou, Wuwei, Bijie and several cities in Xinjiang. Complementary services, including education on prevalent women diseases, interpretation of medical reports, and health consultations, will also be offered.
