A women's reading activity was held under the theme of "Warm FAM Strength Key to Family Happiness" in East China's Shanghai on October 24.
In May 2025, the Publicity Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Shanghai Women's Federation jointly rolled out a video series titled "Warm FAM Strength" to highlight the happiness of local families, drawing warm responses from the public.
To further explore family culture, the federation has worked together with Xinmin Weekly to conduct in-depth interviews and compilation of relevant family stories. The inspirational family stories were published in a book titled "Warm FAM Strength: the Records of 25 Happy Families in Shanghai." Each chapter of the book contains comments from experts which give multi-dimensional explanations about how to foster family happiness. The book was unveiled during the reading activity. Organizers also sent copies to participating families.
The heartwarming videos and the book focus on fine family culture in the new era, the transformation and growth of local families amid fast economic and social development. Four representative families were invited to share with attendees about their stories during the activity.
A publicity video for the third season of the "Warm FAM Strength" series was released during the activity, which will present to the public more lively and vivid family stories.
