An activity, with the theme Visiting Zhang Jian's Hometown to Better Serve the Country, was held in Nantong, a city in Jiangsu Province, on April 16- 17.
The event was attended by nearly 300 people, including members of China Association of Women Entrepreneurs (CAWE) and women entrepreneurs from East China's Yangtze River Delta region (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui).
Li Dang, President of CAWE, said she hoped women entrepreneurs would gain in-depth understanding of Nantong's historical culture and development opportunities through the event, and that they would strengthen cooperation and exchanges and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
Using Zhang Jian (1853-1926, a patriotic entrepreneur) as an example, Li said the women should contribute their strength to the promotion of social progress, harmony and high-quality economic development.
During the event, a ceremony was held to celebrate the signing of the cooperation agreement between Zhang Jian Entrepreneurs College and the associations of women entrepreneurs in the Yangtze River Delta region. Some themed roadshows and goods fairs were also launched.
