Changxing, a county in Huzhou, a city in East China's Zhejiang Province, in recent years has made a major effort to build homes for children. So far, the county has established 24 model homes, which provide various services (including taking care of children and providing psychological counseling) to disadvantaged children (including orphaned and/or disabled children, minors from poverty-stricken families and left-behind children, whose parents have left home to work elsewhere). Given the homes' excellent services, many children consider the organizations their homes.
