Zhuzhou (a city in central China's Hunan Province) Women's Federation, Zhuzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate and Zhuzhou Maternity and Childcare Hospital launched a project, to care for girls and to protect girls from sexual assault, in January 2020.

The women's federations at the county- and district-levels in Zhuzhou recruited volunteer lecturers across the city for the project.

The volunteers have given lectures on the protection of girls' rights and interests in villages, communities and schools, to help people raise their awareness about the importance of protecting girls' rights and interests.

Now, the project has more than 100 volunteers, including teachers, lawyers, procurators, college students and members of the executive committees of women's federations. More than 10,000 students and their parents have benefited from the activities.
