Zhuhai Women's Federation, the Women's General Association of Macao and the Macao Family Mediation Association recently sign a collaboration agreement to help residents resolve family disputes. [For Women of China]

To promote social harmony and stability in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Zhuhai (a city in South China's Guangdong Province) Women's Federation, the Women's General Association of Macao (WGAM) and the Macao Family Mediation Association recently signed a collaboration agreement, under which the organizations will partner to help residents resolve family disputes.

"Given the rapid economic and social development of GBA in recent years, an increasing number of Chinese families will move to the area. Therefore, greater efforts should be made to improve the cooperation between Zhuhai and Macao, as they help residents mediate family disputes," a leader of Zhuhai Women's Federation recently told media.

The leader also said Zhuhai Women's Federation and WGAM will adopt effective measures to improve their cooperation in helping residents mediate family disputes. For example, both the federation and the association will establish a family mediation service center, and the three will work together to help women and children protect their family related rights and interests. Zhuhai People's Mediation Committee and Macao Family Mediation Association will offer residents (including those whose family members live in Zhuhai and Macao) legal counseling to help them improve their ability to protect their rights and interests, to offer residents advice on how to improve their relations with their family members, and to help residents resolve disputes within families.

At the end of 2017, Zhuhai Women's Federation established Zhuhai People's Mediation Committee, to mediate residents' marital and family disputes. During the past three years, the committee's members have made tremendous efforts to help residents resolve disputes within families, in part to promote social harmony and stability.
