 June 18, 2023

The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) recently issued a notice calling on women's federations, at all levels, to study, publicize and implement the spirit of the compilation of excerpts from discourses by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on work related to women and children, as well as the work of women's federations.

It was mentioned in the notice that women's federations' cadres should fully understand the book reflects the great importance the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, has attached to work related to women and children's development. The cadres should also be fully aware the book provides fundamental guidance for them to advance the cause of women and children, and to promote the high-quality development of women's federations' work.

The notice also stressed women's federations should fully understand that adhering to the Party's leadership is the fundamental guarantee for doing a good job in women's work, and women's federations should uphold the Party's overall leadership in carrying out women's work in all aspects.

Women's federations should also unite and lead women as they strive to undertake great causes, be advocates of civility and dream-chasing trailblazers, and contribute China's wisdom and strength to the development of the global women's cause.

The notice required women's federations to make studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the book a major political task, both now and in the future. The notice also called on the federations to recommend the book to women, their families and all of society.
