Embroidered balls used to be tokens of love between men and women, but now they have become popular souvenirs and sachets. With a long history of making embroidered balls, Jingxi City is regarded as home to embroidered balls.

For the locals in Jiuzhou Village of Jingxi City, embroidered balls not only represent ancient handicraft, but also serve as a means to increase income as about 500,000 embroidered balls are made here annually. [Xinhua/Zhang Ailin]
