CWU Students and Teachers Send Love and Care to Women and Children in Liangshan

A social practice delegation consisting of teachers and students from China Women's University (CWU) arrived in Xichang, capital city of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, on August 5, to send love and care to local women and children during their summer vacation.

 

On the afternoon of August 5, Zhao Hao, Deputy-Secretary of the Party Committee of the CWU, and Sheng Li, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee of the CWU, communicated with Zhang Xiaowen, Member of the Executive Committee of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and President of Liangshan Women's Federation. They discussed about how the summer social practice delegation implement the activities of caring for women and children in Liangshan.

Zhang reviewed the care and support given by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the ACWF for women and children's cause in Liangshan. She introduced the significant changes in local women and children's work. She also talked about how to better provide care services to women and children of Yi ethnic group in accordance with their ethnic traditions and living habits.

 

 

The delegation will conduct summer social practice in Xide and Butuo counties in Liangshan for 10 days.

According to Chen Huiying, Member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President of Liangshan Women's Federation, the child care activities will be of great significance for local children to set great goals, develop fine characters and good habits, and feel happy and secure.
