Since 2011 the Central Academy of Fine Arts has held an annual exhibition, titled Footprints of Youth, to show works by the students from 12 art academies nationwide.

Now, nearly 300 paintings, sculptures, prints, photos, calligraphic works and designs are featured at this year's exhibition being held at the CAFA through September 24.

Works are themed on "My country and I" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China. Shown artists explore subjects including Beijing's cityscape, major industrial projects across the country and role models from different walks of life.
