BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) — Young pianist Chen Sa, one of the most renowned Chinese pianists, will present a piano recital at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA).
Unlike other concerts made up of a hodgepodge of music pieces, Chen's performance will weave a sense of happiness and enthusiasm for audiences by focusing on Beethoven's sonatas.
The 90-minute concert on Aug. 27 will showcase music from four sonatas, including Piano Sonata No. 20 in G Major and Piano Sonata No. 21 in C Major.
Gaining international fame through outstanding performances in international piano competitions of Chopin and Van Cliburn in her early teens, Chen has accumulated abundant experience cooperating with world-famous symphony orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the China National Symphony Orchestra.
