The West Lake Women Patrol has performed its duty at the Summer Palace amid a cultural and tourism exchange between Beijing and Hangzhou that kicked off on September 23.
During the event, the team provided support to local residents and tourists.
Hangzhou has a history of more than 2,000 years and has many UNESCO cultural heritage sites such as the West Lake and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
The core value of the West Lake lies in the interaction between human and nature. The all-women patrol is a demonstration of the tourist attraction's services and flexible management, forming a unique scene in addition to its natural beauty.
The team leader Zhao Dan said that considerate services and flexible management represent current way of city management in Hangzhou.
The cultural and tourism exchange event, part of this year's Beijing-Hangzhou Dialogue on the Grand Canal, lasted for three days until September 25, both online and offline.
The Summer Palace, an imperial garden with a history of 270 years, was inspired by the West Lake and gardens in the region south of the Yangtze River. It is a unique and important cultural relics due to its rich collection of cultural treasures.
Activities such as the promotion of the canal tourism theme route, release of tourism coupons, display of traditional skills of the intangible cultural heritage of 11 cities in Zhejiang, and the release of new cultural products in the celebration of China's National Day were also held.
