Women Sci-Tech Workers' Association Founded in Yuhuatai of Nanjing

A ceremony was held in Yuhuatai District of Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu Province, on December 18, to mark the establishment of a women sci-tech workers' association in Yuhuatai, as an initiative of the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation.

The ceremony drew the attendance of representatives from Nanjing Women's Federation, the people's government of Yuhuatai, relevant departments, the newly-founded women sci-tech workers' association, and the district's association of women entrepreneurs.

Zhou Li, a delegate to the 13th National Women's Congress (held in Beijing in October 2023), presented a speech for promoting the spirit of the women's congress, in which she encouraged women sci-tech workers to further tap their innovative potential and make new contributions to enhancing self-reliance in the scientific and technological innovation in Nanjing.

During the past few years, Yuhuatai has actively carried out the women's action for scientific and technological innovation.

A total of 13 departments in the district unveiled an action plan on the implementation of the women's action for scientific and technological innovation. The action plan contains three main initiatives and 12 specific tasks as well as supportive measures in terms of talent evaluation and reward mechanisms, guarantee to meet family needs and friendly childbearing environment for women workers.

Attendees jointly witnessed the founding of the women sci-tech workers' association and the establishment of a service station specially for women talents living in the community of Yuhuatai.
