Yunnan Promotes Implementation of Women, Children's Rights-Protection Service Mechanisms

A video conference was held recently in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan Province, to promote implementation of women and children's rights-protection service mechanisms directed by Party (Communist Party of China) committees, at all levels, in Yunnan.

It was stressed during the conference that women's federations, at all levels, should strengthen cooperation with procuratorates, courts and public security and judicial organs, and to ensure its rights-protection services satisfy women's needs.

During the conference, officials from women's federations of the cities of Qujing and Anning, and Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and the "one-stop" evidence-collection and shelter center of Panlong District, in Kunming, shared their experiences in protecting women and children's rights and interests. Eight hundred people, including heads of city- and county-level Party committees' commission of politics and law and women's federations, attended the conference.
