The Politics and Law Committee, under the CPC (Communist Party of China) Committee of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture and the Women's Federation of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, on March 30 held a ceremony to mark the establishment of the Women and Children's Rights-protection Center. The event was held in Yunnan Fayang Law Office (in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, in Southwest China's Yunnan Province).

The center provides various services (to women and children), including helping residents resolve marital and family disputes, and providing psychological consultation and legal services to women and children, so they can better protect their rights and interests.

The center employs lawyers and psychologists to provide legal aid and/or psychological counseling to residents, to help them resolve disputes within families. Also, the center's workers offer, both online and offline, women advice on improving their ability to cope with work-related pressure, improving the education of their children and/or improving relations with their husbands (or other family members).

The federation plans to help various counties and cities (in the prefecture) establish women and children's rights-protection centers.
