Students from the School of Art and Design at China Women's University (CWU) presented a collection of design products at a fashion showcase held on the sidelines of the Northern Ireland Linen Biennial, in the city of Belfast, on October 4.

Co-hosted by Professor Jane McCann and Wang Lu, dean of the CWU School of Art and Design, the high-level event aimed to celebrate the uniqueness and continuity of linen in the field of fashion for centuries with an innovative and responsible approach.

In addition to students from the CWU, it also drew the attendance of reputed designers from Britain, France, the U.S., and Finland.

Chinese students thrilled the audience with their simplified style of design, in-depth thinking and outstanding skills in design, as well as a closer integration of homegrown linen materials into the art of fashion.

It was an important attempt made by the CWU School of Art and Design to demonstrate its commitment to designs featuring a people-centered, inclusive and sustainable approach.
