CWU Organizes Training Session for Publicity, Ideological Workers

China Women's University (CWU) held a special training session for faculty members and students in charge of publicity and ideological work on September 19.

The gathering aimed to act on the spirit of recently concluded national conferences on publicity and ideological work, as well as education; strengthen and improve the work of publicity and ideology at the university; and, enhance theoretical competence and professional skills of relevant workers.

Zhang Xiangcun, director-general of the Publicity Department at the CWU, presided over the training session.

Zhang spoke about the university's publicity and ideological work last year and made arrangements for work in the rest of 2018.

In addition, Li Yanyan, a professor from the School of Marxism Studies at University of Science and Technology Beijing, lectured attendees on the importance of internet-based work, the trends and new circumstances of its development, and the key tasks and measures in the publicity and ideological work at present.

Ren Cuiru, deputy secretary of the CWU Party Committee and secretary of the CWU Commission for Discipline Inspection, conveyed her thanks to staff for their contributions to the university's reform and development, and presented awards to outstanding units as well as correspondents in recognition of their dedication last year.
