 December 24, 2015

On September 15, China Women's University (CWU) held its annual New Year celebration at the north campus. Li Mingshun, Chairperson of the CWU Council, participated in the gala and sent his greetings via video.

Attendees also included CWU vice-president Song Shengju, Liu Meng and Wang Jingxia; Liu Guocheng, vice-president of Beijing Commercial School; as well as directors from different departments and schools, counselors, and all the teachers and students.

Li fully affirmed the teachers' and students' efforts in the construction of the north campus a decade ago. He said that the north campus has already developed a fine tradition of arduous effort and hard work. President Liu Liqun and teachers from different departments and schools jointly sent their New Year's message on the video, and wished the students health and success at school.

An enthusiastic and dynamic show "The Dance of Youth" marked the event. Two crosstalk performances called "Full of Learning" and "The Legend of Zhenhuan" left audiences convulsing with laughter. A medley of songs was also well received. A female student of the class of 2014 demonstrated the achievements of the innovative practice base fully through a vivid presentation. Afterward, a song and dance on "The Chinese Kungfu" showed teachers' spirituality and students' all-round quality, and raised the atmosphere of the gala to a climax.

The event presented students' versatility from different angles, and marked the 10th anniversary of the north campus. The north campus could not have materialized without the university's support, and it is now an essential component of a strong and prosperous CWU. They will strive to run the north campus well, and contribute to the overall development of the CWU, organizers said.
