 December 22, 2015

The Law School of China Women's University (CWU) held a series of activities to raise awareness about different laws and mark the second National Constitution Day on December 4.

The theme of this year's Constitution Day is "Promoting the Constitutional Spirit and Boosting Innovative, Open, Ecological and Harmonious Development".

On behalf of the CWU, staff of the Young Captain group in CWU participated in the activities, which were co-sponsored by the Law Education in Beijing and Beijing Justice Bureau. They organized lessons for primary school students on legal knowledge concerning safety and self-protection.

The staff also visited the primary school affiliated with the University of International Business and Economics, and Baijiazhuang Primary School, and conducted activities on the theme of "Carrying Forward the Constitution Spirit, Building the China Dream" and "How To Prevent Children From Sexual Abuse".

Meanwhile, the CWU delegates invited students from Dongzongbu Primary School to watch the seventh Beijing Uni Mock Court Competition in CWU.

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress designated Dec 4 as National Constitution Day in 2014, in order to inspire the public to become more familiar with the country's supreme law and carry forward the spirit of the Constitution.
