Li Mingshun Gives a Lecture on Spirit of CWU

On December 9, Li Mingshun, Chairperson of China Women's University (CWU) Council, gave a lecture on the spirit and philosophy of the universities. All the first year students attended the event.

The event was the latest lecture in an important series on freshman education. During the talk, Li emphasized the importances of spirit and faith to freshman, he hoped that the students could uphold the motto of "Virtus, Caritas, Scientia and Cultura", adhere to the values of self-respect, self-confidence, self-support and self-improvement, and form proper philosophy, values, and social outlooks towards life.

As members of the new era, students should insist on the spirit of openness, diligence, innovation, and keep pace with the time. Only by organically combining personal development with the society, can one achieve his or her best and create a better future, Li said. The lecture benefited the students greatly, and won loud applause.
