CWU Leaders Attend Annual Meeting of IEEC

The Innovative and Enterprise Education branch of China higher education association (IEEC) held its 2015 annual meeting at Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT) recently. Liu Guiqin, deputy director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education (HEDME); Gao Wenbing, director of the China Entrepreneurship Education Supervisory Committee, and president of the IEEC; and, Gao Xiaojie, director of academic department, at the China Association of Higher Education, attended the event. 

Attendees also included Liu Wei, secretary of the WHUT Party Committee; Ouyang Jianping, inspector from Hubei Provincial Department of Education (HPDE); and, presidents and secretaries from 27 higher education institutes, including China Women's University (CWU), Southwest Jiaotong University, Central South University, Guizhou University, Shanxi University, and Donghua University. On behalf of CWU, Vice-president Song Shengju participated in the meeting with relevant teachers from the Recruitment and Employment Office. 

IEEC organizers inspected and passed 47 applications for membership, including that of CWU. Leaders from WHUT, HPDE, and HEDME delivered speeches, announced the winners of outstanding units, individuals, and papers in entrepreneurship education studies, and issued the appropriate certificates.

Delegates from Tsinghua University and Jilin University respectively delivered speeches on the Innovation and Enterprise Education Alliance of China Higher Institutes, and, the First "Internet Plus" Innovation and Enterprise Competition for University Students. Participants discussed and communicated with each other, and visited the Optics Valley of China business location and Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co.

After the event, Song asked relevant CWU departments to cooperate with other functional departments, in accordance with the national development strategy, to set their minds to developing innovative entrepreneurship, and highlight the university's features.
