Teachers Get Fit at 'Love CWU, Dreams Set Sail' Walking Activity

China Women's University (CWU) held the fourth walking activity for teachers on October 27. Li Mingshun, the Chairperson of CWU Council; Liu Liqun, president of CWU; CWU Vice-Presidents Song Shengju, Liu Meng and Wang Jingxia; and, some 500 teachers all took part in the event.

The walk was co-sponsored by the CWU Trade Union, and other CWU branches, and aimed to further implement the spirit of the "Instructions of the CPC Central Committee on Strengthening and Improving the Work of Mass Organizations", carry forward the core values of socialism and advocate an active and healthy lifestyle.

At the opening ceremony, the executive vice-president of the Trade Union announced the activity's rules. On behalf of the CWU Sports Committee, Song gave a talk on the instructions for the event. When the activity started, all teachers set off under the guidance of their team leader. During the activity, some group tried their best to compete, some teachers were busy taking photos along the way, and others simply enjoyed the crisp autumn air.

Everyone was enthusiastic and had fun. The whole process was full of joy, harmony, and the atmosphere was orderly. The teachers all successfully completed the walk in the allotted time.

Such activities have become a brand of the Trade Union, and set up a platform of communication for different departments and schools. It also improved teachers' physical exercise consciousness, alleviated their working pressure, and further enhanced the internal cohesion of the institution.
