Recently, the Editorial Department of the Academic Journal (EDAJ) of China Women's University (CWU), led by Cai Feng, editor-in-chief went on a research trip to the editorial departments of social science and periodicals in Shandong, in east China and Shaanxi, northwest China.

The trip was a further step in the EDAJ's learning research to promote the periodical after staff had already visited several journals in Beijing.

The group mainly went to have a conversation with the editorial team of Shandong Advanced Education. The participants include the secretary of and the Shandong Provincial College Working Committee and, the Discipline Inspection Commission, the associate editor-in-chief, the vice-president of Shandong Women's University, and the editorial staff of Shandong Women's University Academic Journal.

Shandong Advanced Education got its name based on the former title "Qingdao University Normal College Academic Journal" which was previously provided for the advanced education system. The associate editor-in-chief gave a comprehensive introduction on the articles and the revision of the periodical. Afterward, the CWU department exchanged their experience of running a periodical with the editorial departments of Shandong Women's University Academic Journal and Binzhou University Academic Journal, of which the latter shared their experiences of "Sun-Tzu Study", the famous program of its education department.

The CWU staff also conversed with peers from The Science of Law, the editorial department of the Northwest University of Political Science and Law Academic Journal. Their periodical used to be a comprehensive academic journal and successfully and vastly developed following its revision in 1989. The staff exchanged their experiences on the aspects of revision, running the journal and program improvement, and greatly benefited and were enlightened from the sharing experience.
