CWU Welcomes Freshmen

On September 9, 1,216 freshmen reached China Women's University (CWU), and they opened a new chapter in their lives. They saw a neat and clean campus, carefully arranged registration site, clear and conspicuous registration signs and teachers and volunteers who were busy working.

Making Full Preparations to Welcome Freshmen

To welcome freshmen, the Party committee of the CWU and administrative leaders have made plans in advance. Each school and functional department has held working meetings and set up working groups.

The working groups coordinated with each other in inspecting sites and design schedules. The freshman registration was divided into registration at faculties, financial payment and green channel, residence migration and travelling to the branch campus.

The Student Affairs Department (office) has set up a team of volunteers to assist the on-site services and guide freshmen to complete their registration.

Efficient, Orderly Digital Services

As always, the school adopted one-stop digital registration. Freshmen should go to the lobby on the first floor of the teaching building, and registration was finished after the scan of the two-dimensional code on the student admission letter.

In addition, freshmen could follow the official accounts of the school to get information on the registration process. The application of digital technology improves the efficiency of registration. All the freshmen, accompanied by their relatives, completed the registration in an orderly manner.

School Leaders Show Concern for Freshmen

Li Mingshun,  Secretary of the  Party Committee of the CWU; Liu Liqun, President of the CWU; and Ren Cuiru, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the CWU, visited the faculty members, understand the progress of registration, welcome freshmen and their parents, and express concern for impoverished students.

The school has set up a "green channel" to ensure the successful enrollment of every impoverished student. The school leaders distributed bedding and mattress and loving bags contained daily necessities to impoverished students and gave support to special students.

In addition, this year's freshman welcoming activity was combined with patriotic education. Many freshmen and their parents took photos with the national flag in front of the "I love the motherland" board, showing love for the country.

School Buses Sending Freshmen to Branch Campus

After taking some rest at the school headquarters, the freshmen and their parents were sent directly to the branch campus via more than 50 shuttle buses. In order to welcome the freshmen, the North Campus organized personnel to clean the dormitories and the campus.

On the afternoon of the same day, after the freshmen arrived at the North Campus, the counselors and teachers held a class meeting for all the freshmen, during which they expressed a warm welcome to the freshmen, and introduced the arrangement and requirements for the new term.

Expectations, Blessings

At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the last bus arrived at the branch campus, and the 2019 freshman welcoming activity ended successfully. The freshmen will start a new journey and chase their dream in the school. May they achieve a lot in the school, and embrace a brilliant future after graduation!
