CWU North Campus Holds Seminar on Pilot Project

In order to launch the ideological and political education program for freshmen, the North Campus of China Women's University (CWU) held a seminar on the second stage of pilot project recently. All of the teachers from North Campus participated in the event.

During the meeting, Guo Chunhong, secretary of the General Party Branch at the North Campus, asked the staff to study the five requirements made by Li Mingshun, chairperson of the CWU Council, at the annual summary conference. Correct political direction is the "soul" of student affairs, standardized institution is the "basic" of student affairs, growth planning is the "key", construction of new media is the "carrier" and students' satisfaction and acceptance is our "aim", said Guo.

Combined with the status quo of the pilot project, Guo put forward ideas of doing routine work carefully, standardizing working innovation, enhancing the connotation of basic work, and publicizing the work content.

Based on the second stage of the pilot project, the staff had a brainstorming session, pulled their knowledge together, established a priority of adaption and cultivation in the first stage of the program, and put forward the priority of promotion and growth in the second stage.

By analyzing the overall standard of the freshmen's final grades, the organizers offered a series of countermeasures and suggestions, including opening extra course study classes, group learning, and strengthening course guidance.

The seminar laid out the direction for upcoming work, helped to lay out the attendees' thoughts, and contributed to developing freshmen education.
