CWU Holds New Year Gala for Faculty Members

With the theme of "Moving Forward with Cohesion, Chasing the Dream", China Women's University (CWU) held its annual New Year gala for faculty members at the university's auditorium on December 28. Li Mingshun, the Chairperson of CWU Council; CWU President Liu Liqun; Vice-Presidents Song Shengju, Liu Meng, Wang Jingxia; and, all other faculty members gathered together, and celebrated the festival.

On behalf of the university's leadership, Li expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members for their hard work, and wished them a happy New Year. He pointed out that the staff have cooperated with each other, strived to improve the quality of teaching and talent-cultivation. They achieved many improvements in the level of scientific research and management services, Li said. He also hoped that the staff could stand united, strive to develop the university into a top-ranked one in China, and contribute to the development of women's higher education.

The musical ensemble "Venice Carnival", the Guzheng performance "Folk Songs Legato", an accordion performance of "The Young Girl Polka" and "Youth Waltz" were intoxicating. The Taiji-Fan craftsmanship fully demonstrated the culture of China. Some songs and dances expressed the infinite love towards the Party, and some conveyed the best wishes towards the country, whilst others sent greetings to teachers.

 The gala was full of warmth and cheer, the performances showed teachers' uplifting spirit. In the New Year, under the guidance of the CWU Council, the staff will work harder, and spare no effort to develop the university's, said organizers.
