The China Women Publishing House and Xizang Women's Federation recently conducted an inspection tour in Nyingchi, in Southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, and distributed 1,002 schoolbags under the Family Happiness and Well-Being Campaign in Zhenba, a village in Nyingchi.

Each of the schoolbags distributed in Nyingchi contained eight books, including a book about the interactions between President Xi Jinping and the people during his domestic inspection tours and a guidebook on the cultivation of family virtues (targeted at children between 3-6). The books will help children develop right outlook on life and values they should embrace through reading, promote core socialist values to take root in families, and bolster the happiness of all households.

Tsering Yangzom, Vice-President of Xizang Women's Federation, said that women's federations at all levels should deepen the implementation of discourses of Xi, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on the importance of family, family education and virtues, and faithfully perform their work as expected by the CPC Central Committee. She called on children to make full use of donated books, set up lofty ideals, enhance their overall competence, and strive to be useful persons in society.

Noting that the schoolbag donation has helped her and other parents feel the love and warmth of the Party, the government and people of all social sectors, Pema Khandu, a representative from a local family, said she will urge her children to learn more knowledge, build a sound family atmosphere and provide them with full support to advance their healthy growth.

Before the schoolbag donation ceremony, the inspection team visited a primary school's library in Mainling County, a women and children's home in Medog County, and a village in Bayi District.
