The KFC Little Migratory Bird Fund affiliated with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) was bestowed with an honor of the Annual Charity Program 2023 at the 8th China Annual Conference on Philanthropy held at Tsinghua University in Beijing on March 28.

The KFC Little Migratory Bird Fund was jointly launched by the CCTF and the KFC China in 2016 to provide migrant children, children whose parents work away from home and children in difficulty with extracurricular reading services and foster their humanistic competence in KFC stores, women and children's service centers, happy homes for children, and schools, calling on the public to pay more attention to the children's living and education conditions.

By the end of 2023, the KFC Little Migratory Bird Fund had built 202 reading corners in residential communities and schools nationwide, donated over 850,000 children's publications, and organized more than 10,000 reading activities with the participation of about 5.5 million children.

Meanwhile, Hengyuanxiang Group and several other partners of the CCTF won the titles of the Annual Charity Enterprises 2023 and the Annual Charity Individuals 2023.

In 2005, the CCTF and Hengyuanxiang Group jointly unveiled the Heng'ai Action, a charitable program dedicated to providing love and assistance to orphans and children with disabilities. During the past 19 years, it has drawn the participation of women's federations nationwide, nearly 100 central authorities and about one million charity-minded families, made donations worth more than 136 million yuan (US $19.15 million), and brought back home China Charity Awards three times.

The 8th China Annual Conference on Philanthropy was jointly held by China Philanthropy Times and Tsinghua University's Center for Chinese Entrepreneur Studies to follow the development trend of Chinese charity affairs and build a charitable platform for people from all social sectors to get involved in mutual support and cooperation.

At the event, professionals and experts engaged in in-depth talks over hot and frontier topics concerning the further development of the charity industry.
