BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) — The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) extended festive greetings and best wishes to women in China and around the world on the eve of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8.
The ACWF sent greeting messages to more than 170 embassies and offices of international organizations in China; women's organizations, institutions and friends of foreign countries, and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), Macao SAR and Taiwan; as well as overseas Chinese.
In the letter, the ACWF commended the friendship between Chinese and foreign women in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic together and expressed the wish to join hands with women from all over the world to build a community with a shared future for humankind.
Along with the letter, the ACWF released a short video introducing the achievements made by the Chinese people and Chinese women in poverty reduction under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
