Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the Seminar on Gender and Specific Groups in Nigeria was held by China Women's University (CWU) via video link from October 24 to November 6. A total of 44 Nigerian participants attended the seminar.
The training session was supported by the MOC's Academy for International Business Officials, the All-China Women's Federation, the Chinese embassy in Nigeria and the Nigerian side.

The training session, composed of livestreaming and pre-recorded courses, introduced Chinese history and culture as well as economic and social development, national governance system, basic state policy of gender equality and support to specific groups in China in a comprehensive way.
At the closing ceremony, two representatives of the Nigerian trainees highly appreciated the seminar for its diverse content and interactive teaching.
Many participants said that the seminar helped them have a thorough understanding of the country and the cause of Chinese women and other specific groups. They spoke highly of the country's practices and experience in protecting the rights and interests of women and specific groups, and they looked forward to have in-depth discussions with Chinese side.

At the closing ceremony, Zhou called on the Nigerian trainees to become bridges connecting women from the two countries, promote extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Nigerian women, and make new contributions to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
