Entry Check Ensures Safety of Housekeepers and Clients

2020-03-13

In Shanghai, check of workers in the housekeeping service sector at the entrance of communities has helped both employers and housekeepers relieve their worries about infection risks during the epidemic period.

After showing the health code and her movements through her mobile phone, registering her ID information at the community entrance and having a temperature check, housekeeper Yan Guixiu and her employer signed a letter of commitment giving the purpose of her entry at the real estate management office.

For now, about 230,000 housekeepers in the city have resumed work.

The Shanghai Domestic Service Association has more than 500 member companies and more than 30 percent of them have resumed work, according to the association's president Zhang Lili.

As the association's members, 40 more domestic service companies are soon to resume work as well, Zhang added.
