Campaign Raises Women's Legal Awareness

 2026-09-14

The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), the Ministry of Justice and the National Office of Law Popularization recently issued a notice on implementing the grassroots women's law-popularization campaign.

The notice clarifies the campaign will focus on women in rural and urban communities, in emerging sectors, women college students and minors and their guardians. Through various online and offline activities, knowledge of the law and rights-protection services will be presented to the above-mentioned groups.

The campaign is aimed at raising rule-of-law awareness among women and their families, and also enhancing women and their families' ability to protect their legal rights. In addition, the campaign is intended to create a social atmosphere that respects women and cares for children.

The notice urges relevant governmental departments to innovate ways to promote law popularization, based on local conditions, and to combine law popularization with artificial intelligence, cultural tourism, sports events and traditional festivals. The notice urges law-enforcement departments to fulfill their responsibility to improve public awareness of laws.

The notice urges volunteers, grassroots legal workers and group members of women's federations to play their roles in popularizing the law. The notice calls for integrating law popularization with relevant campaigns implemented by women's federations.

The notice also calls for in-depth integration of law popularization with both rights-protection services and grassroots governance, and it calls for the provision of convenient, high-quality legal services to women.

Cooperation in implementing the campaign throughout eastern and western China is encouraged.
