 2026-05-27

Jiangsu Women's Federation held a training seminar for high-level women sci-tech talents in Kunshan, a city of east China's Jiangsu Province, from May 18 to 21.

At the opening ceremony, Zhu Jinsong, President of Jiangsu Women's Federation, gave a thematic report on the adherence to fundamental national policy of gender equality and the protection of the lawful rights and interests of women and children.

Zhu called on participants to further promote the spirit of scientists, integrate personal aspirations into the cause of the Party and the nation, and play a more active role in transforming Jiangsu's scientific and educational strengths into industrial competitiveness.

She urged them to join the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation, leverage their research and talent expertise as well as resources and platforms to support women's and children's affairs and help nurture a social environment that shows full respect to women and children.

Chu Tianjiao, a professor at China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong, lectured attendees about the utilization of AI-driven measures to accelerate the layout and development of the intelligent industry. They also attended the course by Zhang Yuchen, a professor at Tongji University, about the reform of sci-tech systems and the transformation of sci-tech achievements.

The two lectures further expanded participants' horizons in cutting-edge technology, expanded their thinking on the development of the intelligent industry, and helped them make clear about the roadmap for the transformation of sci-tech achievements.

In addition, participants also conducted field visits to innovation hubs in the industrial parks of Taicang, Kunshan and Suzhou, gaining a deep understanding of innovation and drawing innovative aspiration from exchanges.

The training seminar brought together over 50 high-level women sci-tech talents, tech-oriented entrepreneurs and rural talents.

At the closing ceremony, several attendees shared about their feeling and insights about the four-day event.

Wang Donglei, Deputy Secretary-General of Wuxi Women's Association for Science and Technology, talked about her feeling under the theme of "Gathering Women's Strength and Igniting the Spirit of Innovation."

Yang Shuyan, President of Jiangsu Hengfeng Weiye Fiberglass Co. Ltd., said that she has found opportunities from the training seminar to further expand industrial chains and strengthen business cooperation.

Jiang Qin, President of Nantong Meijia Printing Technology Co. Ltd., said that she has been deeply impressed by AI-driven technological development and the transformation of the way of thinking.

In the next step, Jiangsu Women's Federation will intensify its work on the implementation of the Women's Action for Scientific and Technological Innovation. It will leverage the strength of women sci-tech workers and women entrepreneurs to align technological and industrial innovation and create a favorable environment for women sci-tech workers to take a leading role in relevant sci-tech projects.

It will also strengthen exchanges and collaboration between Jiangsu Women's Association for Science and Technology, Jiangsu Association of Women Entrepreneurs, and other committees to transform research results into products and industries and expand the coverage of "Women's Sci-Tech Innovation Loan" to address financing challenges faced by women sci-tech entrepreneurs.
