A targeted financial-service project in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has provided more than 21.15 billion yuan (US $3.02 billion) in loans to more than 130,000 women and their families in recent years.
In 2025, Inner Mongolia Women's Federation and Inner Mongolia Branch of Agricultural Bank of China strengthened their cooperation to empower women through financial services. Loans were issued to promote women's employment and entrepreneurship, and to assist with post-disaster reconstruction.
The bank's branch recently donated 500,000 yuan (US $71,429) to five women-oriented, rural-revitalization projects in five regions in Inner Mongolia.
The regions were Togtoh County, Horqin Youyi Middle Banner, Harqin Banner, Urad Front Banner and Alxa Left Banner. Each project received 100,000 yuan (US $14,286), and that money was used to purchase equipment and organize skills training for women.
