CCTF, Anta Sports Launch Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth Program

Anta Sports, a domestic sportswear firm, donated 40 million yuan (US $5.63 million) to the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) at a ceremony in Beijing on October 25 to launch the Spring Bud Girls' Healthy Growth public-welfare initiative.

The first three-year plan for the initiative will be implemented from 2025 to 2027 to support the organization of girls' sports teams and growth camps and assist girl students of colleges and universities in the completion of their academic studies, bringing benefits to about 6,500 girls nationwide.

Song Li, Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), said that the cooperation between Anta Sports and the CCTF has fully expounded the guiding principles of public welfare affairs and that it will fundamentally promote the healthy growth of children, especially the all-round development of girls, and carry forward traditional Chinese virtues.

Song stressed that the CCTF should bear in mind its original aspiration, fulfill corporate social responsibility, focus itself on such sectors as education, sports and health, meet the demands of the Spring Bud girls, explore new carriers and approaches for education assistance, sports empowerment and caring services, enrich and enlarge the service scope of the newly-launched program, and help teenage recipients grow up healthily and embrace a bright future.

Song called on students to cherish the time, carry forward the guiding principles of the Spring Bud Project, foster lofty ideals, and endeavor to grow into talent who can contribute to the development of the country and the society.

Lai Shixian, Executive Director and Co-CEO of Anta Sports, said the program will provide the Spring Bud girls with more opportunities to receive equal education and take part in sports activities, help them build up healthy body, nurture strong will and team spirit, and lay a solid foundation for their growth and development.
