As the hometown of 24 world champions, 35 Asian champions, and 170 national champions, the city of Baoding in north China's Hebei Province has been awarded the title of "city of Olympic champions" by the Chinese Olympic Committee to honor the its contribution to China's Olympic achievements. What has the city done to achieve such a success?

One of its secrets is sports schools. In recent years, Baoding has focused on supporting the development of four municipal sports schools, which form a major force in training high-level athletes for competitive sports, enabling the city to produce so many champions.
