LUOYANG, May 3 (Xinhua) — The Peony Pavilion scenic area, a new tourism landmark in Luoyang, central China's Henan Province, has started trial operation recently. The scenic area features a peony museum and a peony garden, treating visitors to various peony exhibitions and the city's unique peony culture with the latest display technology.

Luoyang was the capital city of 13 dynasties in ancient China. It is known as "the city of peonies", boasting the best peonies in the country. Ever since the very first peony was planted here, Luoyang has inspired numerous peony-themed works of art.
