CWU Students Vow to Study Hard, Live up to the Party's Expectation

China Women's University (CWU) held a flag-raising ceremony at its campus in Beijing on August 30, the first day of the new semester. The ceremony was carried out both online and offline due to epidemic control needs.

Standing under the national flag, the students, who participated in the recitation and chorus performances at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at Tiananmen Square, led all the participating students to take an oath.

Li Mingshun, Secretary of the Party committee of the CWU, and Liu Liqun, President of the CWU, participated in the ceremony.

Li delivered a speech at the ceremony. He fully affirmed the students' love for the Party and the country. He urged the students to study General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC, remember General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions for youth, follow the Party's leadership, study hard and participate in social practice, in a bid to live up to the promise of their youth and the expectations of the Party and the people.
