Media mogul Hung Huang was recently announced to join the coaching team of Beijing Satellite Television's reality talent show Dream Maker, which is set to premier on January 9, 2015.

Hung — who serves as CEO of China Interactive Media Group, a publishing company that prints such fashion magazines as i-Look, Time Out and Seventeen — said she was invited by Jiang Wen, an acclaimed Chinese actor and film director who has already been announced to be joining the show, together with famous Chinese actress Yao Chen.

"I don't have any experience in performing, but I think that having a sincere heart matters a lot in the show, and I'm just a representative of the common people among the three coaches," said Hung.

As the show is projected to shoot 13 episodes, Hung hesitated whether or not to accept the invitation in the beginning, for she was worried that she would have no time left for her family or to herself.

However, Hung eventually decided to rise to the challenge because of the positive energy that the show exudes, encouraging people to chase their inner dreams, with the slogan of "you are but a step away from your dream."

The show reportedly features a "3+x" coaching team model, with a "mystery coach" to join the regular panel each episode. Huang admitted that she hopes most for one of the episode's guest coaches to be famed actor Chen Daoming.

Jointly launched by Beijing Satellite Television and Yuanchun Media, Dream Maker is committed to discovering outstanding performers who have hidden talents and who still cherish their performing dreams.

People who are interested in showcasing their performing talents can apply to be on the show by registering on the official website, http://www.zaomengzhe.net/, by the deadline, January 31, 2015.
