ACWF Vice-President Stresses Concrete Actions in Following the Party and Striving on the New Journey

Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), on March 23-25 made an inspection tour to Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality to promote the spirit of the important speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during this year's "two sessions."

During her inspection tour, Huang visited some local revolutionary memorial sites to recall the glorious history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Huang also visited 92-year-old Party member Li Yuzhen and a descendant of Rao Guomo, a former member of the executive committee of the ACWF who voluntarily donated private land and houses to the country. She urged learning from those and other outstanding Party members and carrying forward the glorious traditions and fine conduct of the CPC.

While visiting a community and a village, Huang shared her understanding of the spirit of General Secretary Xi's important speeches with local women. She also learned about the implementation of local women's federations' publicity and education activities related to the history of the CPC and the role of members of the women's federations' executive committees.

At the People's Court of Yuzhong District, Huang fully affirmed the court and the women's federation of the district for their joint efforts in resolving family disputes in a one-stop manner and doing the work of juvenile protection well.

Huang also inspected a local e-commerce platform with its own women's federation. She spoke highly of the work of the online women's federation and of its role in guiding, serving and contacting more than 5.6 million women internet users.

During her inspection tour, Huang had in-depth discussions with local representatives from various sectors at a symposium. She noted that it is important to further understand the responsibilities and missions of women and women's federations on a new journey to fully build a modern socialist country.

Huang urged women's federations at all levels to carry out publicity and education activities related to the history of the CPC, the country, reform and opening-up, and socialist development at the grassroots level, to implement the campaigns of the women's federations, to do the work of rights protection well, and to deepen reform of women's federations.

She also called for efforts to mobilize women to rally closely around the Party and welcome the Party's centenary with outstanding achievements.
