China Honors Women Individuals, Groups for Outstanding Contributions

BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) — The All-China Women's Federation announced on October 24 that it honored 11 National March 8th Red-banner Pacesetters, 300 National March 8th Red-banner Holders and 200 National March 8th Red-banner Collectives from across China as national-level role models for their contributions to the country.

Covering a wide range of fields, the individual winners include volleyball player Zhu Ting, Academy of Military Sciences researcher He Yuanzhi, island guardian Wang Shihua, poverty-alleviation official Leng Juzhen. Meanwhile, the critical care medicine department of the Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated with the Capital Medical University, is among the groups accorded the honor.

The federation called on the honorees to make greater contributions to coordinating epidemic containment with economic and social development.

It also encouraged women nationwide to learn from the role models and work tirelessly to realize the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.
