The Award for the March 8 Red-Banner Holders, Pacesetters and Collectives has been organized by the All-China Women's Federation since 1960. The award is an honor for exemplary workers or collectives who have made extraordinary achievements in building socialism. The All-China Women's Federation held a selection event for the March 8 Red-Banner Holders, Pacesetters and Collectives for the first time in 1960. The winners were mostly exemplary workers in agriculture or industry.
