BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) — 29-year-old You Jia is a nurse working in operating rooms of Peking Union Medical College Hospital.
She began running in 2015 after she was introduced to an online marathon app. She was motivated by the various medals of marathons and cross-country races at first. But as she took part in more events, she has gradually improved her running performance.

In 2018, You Jia made some achievements by finishing Beijing Marathon race in 3 hours 45 minutes, finishing in OCC group of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) in 9 hours 47 minutes and 22 seconds.
Her friends suggested her to get some professional training to achieve more, but she slowed down her pace to enjoy what running really brings to her.
"Running makes me feel happy and confident, and also earns me respect from others. The stunning sceneries along the road and self-fulfillment I felt when I hit the road make me insist on running. I'm proud of myself every time I cross over the finishing line," You Jia said.
