The 13th plenary session of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD) and the 2021 plenary session of the committee's Chinese side were held both via video link on December 28, 2021. Xia Baolong, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of CRFCPD's Chinese side, and Boris Titov, Russian Chairman of the CRFCPD, delivered speeches during the CRFCPD plenary session.

Xia attended and addressed the plenary session of CRFCPD's Chinese side. Mu Hong, Director-General of the Liaison Department of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and President of the Chinese side of CRFCPD's Women's Council, also spoke at the plenary session of the Chinese side.

During the 13th CRFCPD plenary session, Mu reviewed comprehensively the work conducted by the Women's Council since the 12th CRFCPD plenary session in 2019. Mu expressed China's willingness to work with Russia and to continue implementing the consensus reached by leaders of both countries. In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of CRFCPD’s establishment, China will deepen women's exchanges and cooperation, inherit traditional friendship, adhere to the people's will to form a comprehensive and strategic China-Russia partnership of coordination for a new era, and contribute women's strength in the promotion of women's overall development and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, Mu added.

During the plenary session of CRFCPD's Chinese side, Mu expressed gratitude to Xia and the committee's Chinese members for the guidance and support provided to the women's council. Over the past year, Mu said, the women's council acted on the important guidance given by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the council followed the CPC Central Committee's arrangement of work related to Russia and CRFCPD's work requirements. Focusing on the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, the women's council reached fruitful results in the enhancement of communications among women and children from China and Russia. Mu also noted 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of CRFCPD's establishment and the women's council will make new contributions for the new era.
