The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation from Germany co-organized a workshop for women working at the primary level in Beijing from October 25-31, 2020. Forty-five presidents of women's federations at the primary level from Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, in Northwest China's Gansu Province, and from the counties of Zhangxian and Xihe (both ACWF-supported counties lifted out of poverty in Gansu), attended the workshop, which was aimed at improving the women's work abilities. Xia Jie, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the ACWF, met foreign guests from the German foundation and posed for a photo with the workshop's participants before the workshop began.
The purpose of the workshop was to enhance women's capacity building in poverty-stricken counties supported by the ACWF and to help the counties of Zhangxian and Xihe shake off poverty and realize rural revitalization. Mu Hong, Director-General of the Liaison Department of the ACWF, spoke during the workshop's launch ceremony.

Officials from the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, the Office of National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, ACWF's Human Resources Development Department, Department for Women's Development, Department of Family and Children's Affairs, Legal Department and Liaison Department, as well as experts from China Women's University gave lectures. Experts from Germany taught and communicated with participants via video link.
During their stay in Beijing, the participants visited a rural administration project and an environmentally friendly agricultural production project's sites located in Tongzhou District. They also visited China National Museum of Women and Children.
